It is common knowledge that application of natural and reliable building materials is the main condition for healthy climate maintenance in the room. That is why the most popular material for door production is still wood. Though there are lots of new modern and practical materials, the majority of people still tend to prefer the energy properties and unique texture of wood.

"Variant Ltd." has been producing doors made of natural solid wood since 1994. The application of fine wood and quite a sophisticated manufacturing technique makes such doors rather expensive. However, and it is well-known, the price of a product determines its quality and durability. That is why many customers install our doors in elite houses and offices to emphasize the interior elegance and exclusiveness. The application of natural wood keeps up with the latest trends in design, as wood can match any material.

Nowadays there are two ways of solid wood doors production: traditional, made of solid wood and made of glued solid timber, which is the most modern and technological. We apply the latter way, which helps us to avoid such traditional drawbacks of door leaves as changing of linear dimension due to air moisture difference in the room. Gluing of separate lamellas helps to relieve the internal in the wood and to improve manufacturability and durability of the whole door construction. As a result the appearance of the door leaf becomes different. Separate areas of the door leaf may have various tinges. Such an effect of colour variation emphasizes naturality of the material.

Panelled doors from "Variant" mean the application of fine and hard wood (oak, ash), high quality and appropriate price. However, we also produce paneled doors from soft wood such as pine and alder. They are cheaper and quite attractive.

We produce blank doors, glazed doors and partially glazed doors with the application of double-glass panes.

We produce wing doors, which consist of door leaf, door frame, platbands and door hinges.

External door. Model 54.

Wing doors may be single or double doors. The main feature of the wing door construction is the shape of section along the door ledge. Door ledge is the contiguity place of the door leaf and the door frame to each other. Such ledge constructions have three variants:

• rebating in the frame
• rebating in the door leaf
• rebating in the frame and in the door leaf

Entrance doors are made of pine, oak, ash.

Inner doors are made of alder, oak, ash.

Pine wood is used for entrance door production due to its lower thermal conductivity and higher sound insulation.

Alder has a more homogeneous structure, it is light, it does not crack. That is why it is the ideal material for inner door production. Alder is easy to treat with cutting tools. The products made of alder are accurate, clear, with smooth surface.

The advantages of oak are durability and resistance to moisture, fine pattern on the longitudinal section. Oak wood is solid and easy to paint.

Ash is a modest neighbour of the oak. Ash wood is more light-coloured than oak and it has expressive texture. This texture is rare, peculiar and especially attractive in different saw cuts (for example, the basis tree). Some masters compare the texture on the saw end of ash tree with the ridge of a sea wave.

Entrance doors are produced from window timber the thickness of which is 68 mm. It secures perfect heat insulation and durability of the product. The partially glazed doors have one-chambered or double-chambered double-glass pane.
